Best Catch: 14 fish by Ray Bird and Phil Holdsworth
Heaviest Bag: 1 fish for 10lb 2oz by Andy Hull
Best Rainbow: 10lb 2oz by Andy Hull
Best Brownie: N/A
Bank Rod Av: 2.1 fish per angler
Boat Rod Av: 9.45 fish per angler
Sport: Another lovely sunny day with a slight breeze meant the angling was again top notch with the boats being the place to be. Our very own Matt was out today with regular Derek Moore they fished the corner of the willows and the causeway and had 22 fish between them with matt just pipping Derek with 12 fish. They found olive lures worked well in the morning and blobs in the afternoon all fished on intermediate lines. Also on the Boats Phil holdsworth had a cracking half days angling taking 14 fish mostly on cats whisker lures from all along the willows behind Willow Island. Top Honours though have to go too Ray Bird and Andy hull who had 27 fish between including a lovely 10lb 2oz rainbow which Andy caught from the causeway which just about made up for being beat by his boat partner Ray who landed 14 fish on a green pea lure which is apparently now a mushy pea. Another angler into double figures was Geoff Court who had 13 fish from the Northern Shallows and regular John Forster with 10 fish all on cormorants from Willow Island. On the Bank things were a Little trickier but Mr Carradice found the Method and landed 8 hard fighting rainbows from Bens Beach on various black and green lures including a lovely 4lb rainbow. With the weather continuing to remain settled there has never been a better time to dust down the tackle and get too Stocks and start your season. See you in the lodge Pete.
