Sport: What super weather we have had here today, bright blue skies and sunshine, and we are supposed to see some more as the week progresses. There were some great catches made today both from the bank and the boats. Fishing from the bank and landing a credible 8 fish was Ken Whiteside who found various lures effective. Ken caught fish from several spots including two trees, Hollins and around the jetty. Kens brother Mick wasn’t far behind with 6 trout caught on similar patterns and areas. On the boats today was Mark Tyndall and Ian Greenwood who caught a total of 40! trout between them. They found the Northern shallows and the Causeway to be their best areas with black and green lures on sinking lines being their best tactic. Included in this amazing catch was a 10lb 1oz rainbow that fell to the rod of Ian. Also out on a boat was Mark Chippendale who caught a staggering 25 trout. Mark fished behind Willow Island and caught on black buzzers on a floating line in the morning and then switched to a gold Hummungus on a slime line in the afternoon with all his fish coming close to the island in 4ft of water.
