Sport: With more glorious weather today the bright conditions made things a little trickier around the middle if the day. The bank out fished the boats today with several good bags coming to the scales, Dave flitcroft had a cracking days fishing all along the west bank using small black and green lures he weighed in a five fish limit of 11lb 12oz nice fishing Dave! Also on the bank were friends Mr Ferguson and Dave Sherriff, they both had a good days fishing dave had five cracking trout on a buzzer but his mate Mr Ferguson had the top catch of the day with a very impressive 9 fish all falling to the black nomad. On the boats the angling was a little bit tougher But Ian Horton and Anthony Thompson had a great four-hour stint landing 2 fish each from Hollins bay on lures. Also on a half-day ticket was regular Lee Cowking he fished red Diawl Bachs in the Northern Shallows to take 3 fish. The top rod on the boats however was the ever-consistent Peter Andrews who had seven fish on cat’s whisker lures from Gull Island. The lovely weather looks set to continue for a few days yet so what better way to spend a great afternoon than out on a boat. See you in the lodge Pete.
