Sport: The day started well with a light breeze and an overcast sky but this soon cleared and the sun came out. Luckly this didn’t seem to put the fish off. On the bank both Andy Cooper and Mr Moodie had a good days fishing with 5 fish each, Mr Moodie had the heaviest bag of the day with 5 fish for 12lb but wat out in the lead with a staggering catch was Ian King from Bingley who had a catch of 20 fish made even more impressive by the fact it was on a half day ticket. Ian commented on the fact he could have had more but gave the killer pattern to matt, which was a home tied Montana variant.
Out on the boats Bob Fitzpatrick is still on fire with another double figure haul of 12 fish out of a boat total of 19 with partner Steve Bland. Bob again found nymphs the best way to get the fish to take confidently. Also on the boats were Father and son duo Duncan and Richard Watson the pair had a cracking 17 fish to the boat with Duncan taking the lions share with 12 fish. Both anglers found Cats Whiskers and Damsels the top patterns and the Causeway the top area.
The weather looks good again tomorrow with light westerly winds and cloud cover for most of the day so see you on the lodge Pete
