Sport: The weather wasn’t up to much today with the odd sunny spell followed by showers but at least it wasn’t cold. There were some reasonable catches made today both from the boats and the shore. Frank Hartley chose to fish from a boat and caught his 9 fish from several areas with Hollins bay being his best spot. Also landing 9 trout today was Mr Mclean who fished the bank all the way along from Bens beach into Hollins bay, taking fish as he went. There are quite a lot of brownies being landed at the moment, both stocked and wild, so if you fancy catching one or two of these lovely looking trout then a visit over the next week or so might be a good idea. Well done to Darren Booth who was top individual in the trout masters competition today. Darren was the only angler to catch both in the morning session and the afternoon session, landing 2 trout from the boat in the morning on a di7 line and a further 3 trout from the bank on a floating line! Good versatile angling Darren Congratulations. See you on the water Paul.
