SPORT: Bank House has remained ice free and has been fishing well. During the milder spell of weather the trout started to roam the lake in search of food and in doing so they came up into mid water. Dennis Tallentire had a great half days sport catching steadily on a mini cats whisker. Norman Chapman caught well on an apps worm and Mr D Simmons caught all over the lake and completed the Bank House McNab on black n green lure. Now the weather has cooled down again but our water circulation system kept us from freezing over and the trout have continued to play game. They have sunk a little deeper in the water and are now preferring a slow or static presentation but once hooked they are fighting really hard. Mr H Poland from Blackpool used black and olive fritzes to tempt a steady stream of trout and today Norman Chapman was back in action with a somewhat unorthodox tactic. He used a gold headed black fritz under the bung at a depth of 4 feet, if you are thinking of visiting us this is definitely worth a try. We saw another beautiful big brownie today it was tempted by Neil Dyson on a black n green lure fished on a floating line. (See picture below) Tight Lines Ben
