Air Ambulance Blind Pairs Charity Match 16.08.2020

Air Ambulance Blind Pairs Charity Match

On Sunday the 16th of August we are holding a blind pairs match in aid of the fantastic North West Air Ambulance Charity.
You can fish with a friend in the same boat or we can pair you up with someone.
When it comes to the weigh in you will be assigned a number at random by the fishery staff and whoever draws the same number as you becomes your partner in the results.
It adds a great twist to the end of the days fishing!

Fished to fishery rules from a drifting boat.
2 fish kill then unlimited catch and release with each returned fish adding 2lbs to your bag weight.

Even though this is a fun comp there will still be tackle prizes for the pair with the biggest bag weight and the pair with the biggest fish.

£90 per pair

Fishing will be 10-6

Holins bay
The dam
Two trees

5 flies to try:
Black Foam daddy long legs
Hothead damsel

When conditions have suited fish have been moving well in the surface taking emerging buzzers, they haven’t been easy to trick but the clam lanes have seen plenty of fish to chuck at. Otherwise fishing tight in with washing lining and snakes has scored well.

Look forward to seeing you up here soon 🙂

Tight lines!

On Sunday we welcomed back the Scierra pairs heat and despite the wet and windy conditions we had a brilliant turn out. Below are Phil Dixons words on the day.

Massive thanks to Phil and all the anglers took part.

“Another heat over and wow what a day it was with the wind and rain we’ll do to everyone for catching so many fish in such hard conditions.

Today’s winners also took the win last year as 10 fish were landed by Alistair Beaumont & Dave Morris, the pair fished blobs on a intermediate lines down at gull island area where most of the boats were all day trying to find some cover.

Kevin Dinning & @Wayne Dent also landed 10 fish to win the Scierra fly lines and take a place on the final.

Final pair to qualify was @Ian Gaskell and Ben Dobson who landed 8 fish again all caught in the same area in and around Gull island.

Thanks to Stocks Reservoir and Ben James Fox for the work and all the anglers.”
