The weather up at Stocks today has been absolutely fantastic and looks set to stay that way over the weekend. Out on the water today was Adam Labalestier and Ben Bayliss they had 9 fish to the boat using Minky boobies on a Di 5, the lads found that the fish where spread across the whole reservoir today with no one area being the hotspot, but instead they picked fish up every time they stopped. Also doing well today was Keith Charnock who had 8 fish today fishing down by Willow Island, Keith used Black and Gold diawl bachs on a floating line to take all of his fish. Keith commented that the fish wanted the flies absolutely static and the takes were savage.

Another great day with super high temperatures and a bright blue sky with hardly a cloud all day. These conditions can make catching fish very tricky indeed but this has not been the case, perhaps the fish are getting used to the sunshine! Pete Kaminski fished around Bell point today and tempted 5 good rainbows. With such bright conditions Pete opted to fish his flies deep on a sinking line and caught on both boobys and minkies. Also fishing around Bell point was Thomas Fryer who caught 7 fish. Thomas also fished his flies deep and found his best pattern to be an orange booby. The best boat pairing today was Tom Bird and Richard Hood who landed 7 fish between them. They found fish all over the reservoir and caught on a variety of methods and flies.
See you on the water Paul.

Today was a lovely day to be out fishing with warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Despite these bright conditions there were some good catches made. Eddie McGhee and Stephen Clarke landed 12 good fish. They found fish all over the reservoir with their best tactic being small snatchers and cormorants fished in an intermediate line. Another boat to record a good catch was John Calvert and Mike Laycock who caught a total of 18 trout between them. They found fish in all areas and caught on several different flies and tactics. With this warm weather set to continue I would expect insect activity to increase which in turn should lead to some good top of the water sport. This evening Ben made another good sized stocking of  super rainbows weighing between 2lb 8oz and 3lb. These were super quality fish which will put up a great account of themselves when hooked, I hope I will be lucky enough to hook one. See you on the water Paul.
